This is a Hessian Musketeer, in British Service, from the American War of Independence. I depicted him in later service, at about the time of the siege of Yorktown.

It's an original 54mm figure. The head is from the new Hornet 1/32 scale range.

The putty used is a mixture of Aves and Pro-Create. The musket is a Shenandoah conversion.

Painted in acrylics.

Sorry if the pic's are a little grainy.

Thanks for looking. Very Happy

Thanks Armellini!

I'm not really pleased with how the pic's turned out. The fleshtones look blotchy and the red on the turnbacks look too bright.

Anyway, I like how the figure turned out. It's a subject I've wanted to do for some time.

This is a soldier of the German Legion from the Napoleonic Wars inspired by an illustration in Osprey's "Austrian Army of the Napoleonic Wars 1: Infantry"

The head is from Hornet and musket is a Shenandoah conversion.

Putty used is a mixture of Aves and Pro-Create.

Painted in acrylics.

Thanks fella's.

Dani, yeah I've been pretty lazy about posting work anywhere.

Here's the illustration that inspired the German Legion dude. I changed a couple things. Bed-roll attached to the knapsack and the gaiters over the trousers.

I'm currently working on a three figure vignette of Confederate soldiers during "Pickett's charge" at the Battle of Gettysburg.

That sounds pretty nice, Jason. A step-by-steb would be nicer, though lol!
