Hello Phil and welcome Wink I moved your topic to the step by step section. For be your second model you are doing a goos job, you should try to add some more contrast in general Hoplite 283384 skin, metals, tunic, etc needs more contrast, try to add shadow over the gold parts with washes of Raw Umber and Black...

I will be following this one..

easy my friend Hoplite 4856 just add more darker mix for the shadows and more brighter mix for the lights, if you get too much contrast you could shut off the contrast with very diluid washes of the base color, thats helps Hoplite 283384
