Hello, the most important thing about acrylics is the water, more water and the mix will be more watercolor, less water and the mix will be more pure color, another important thing are the layers, when you work with acrylics you work layer by layer, first the lights and then the shadows. The darker color always cover the lighter color...
This is a good example...

The mid tone is the (base color)  you do first he lights and after that all the shadows. If the contrast between the light and shadow is too strong you should paint with a very dilute mid tone just in the union between these two colors.

And for blacks

To do soft lights and shadows, you need a basic control of the water paint, when you do a transition between a light and shadow you have to paint with a very dilute paint, be sure to dry a little bit the brush with a piece of cloth before to paint, once you painted the first layer wait a bit until the paint dry and then you can do the second layer, repeat until you get satisfied...

En otro foro vi que alguien recomendaba usar "purple" para las luces pintando negro...QUe opinas? Lo as usado alguna vez? Se prodrian usa otros colores como el rod o el azul....?

Si para las luces, ero por eso preguntaba si se pueden usar otros colores como rojo o sobretodo azul.... affraid scratch scratch scratch

Si claro, para los negros suele usarse en las luces algunas veces el rosa antiguo o el azul, yo suelo usar el carne dorada, tambien el uniforme ingles Acrylics question 617543
