Ok ladies and gents here are some updated pics.

Pics are not bad when compared to the CRAP of a month ago (even the last batch were of this same acceptable level) so they have to suffice

Red tunic and arms will recieve the LAST tweaking when (now that is a good question....WHEN) they'll be assembled in position, so that I would be seeing the RED as a whole

The rendition of the wool is outstanding.
Maybe a stupid question but why do you undercoat the flesh with black?

Paul, I undercoat everything in black nowadays, like so many others. The biggest advantage is that in very difficult to reach places, you'll have the lowlights taken care of

Also, I find that with a black undercoat, I have a "solid" bed on to which I apply the base coat....even where I paint white, I do undercoat with Black

So, finally, at long last.........Kenneth is ALL PAINTED but still in bits & pieces!

This is the last set of pics that you'll see in this form.....hopefully the next installment of pics would be the whole of Piper Kenneth McKay in all his glory!

Well, Ray, thanks for the explanation. the black undercoat is very unconventional but the result is there, so... just, congratulations.

Hello, very good. I have never painted a tartan, but it must be hard, I've read the techniques to make and confirm my comment.
